Rose May Alaba, an Austrian singer and the sister of Real Madrid defender David Alaba is set to visit Ghana in the coming days.
Rose May made the announcement on Wednesday 21 June 2023 in a Twitter post when asked by a fan when she would visit Ghana after announcing her visit to Nigeria.
In her post, she said that after her first stop in Nigeria, she believes her visit to Ghana would help put an end to the long-running Jollof controversy between the two countries.
“Ghana I’m Coming Too! No cheating. Maybe now I can finally settle the Jollof war between Nigeria ??????? and Ghana, she tweeted.
Her announcement did not include the exact dates of her visit to Ghana and Nigeria. Still, she will organize Meet and Greet events in both countries during her trip, based on fan reactions after her tweet.
Rose May Alaba, 29, was born in Austria to a Nigerian father George, and a Filipino mother, making her half Nigerian and half Filipino.
She is best known for her 2016 mega hit single “Love Me Right,” which spent more than four weeks at the top of the Austrian iTunes chart.
Her Coca-Cola record contract in 2017 saw her perform a theme song “Can You Feel It” at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Vienna, Austria.
