Ghanaian comedian, Derick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB Ghana, has subtly jabbed rapper Sarkodie after expressing his stance on commercial drivers’ strike over rising fuel prices, which left passengers stranded.
Earlier on Twitter, Sarkodie was chastised by fans for not speaking out about the issue at hand, instead favoring the current administration over the hike in fuel prices.
Comedian DKB Ghana took to his official Twitter handle to vehemently slam celebrities who wore party colors during the election campaign but have since gone silent and refused to speak out against the country’s hardships.
“Nothing annoys me like a celebrity who has shown party colors but thinks we can’t see & trying to pretend to be speaking for the people”
“Me DKB I be fucken real, if I ever endorse a party & things aren’t going well, I’ll fucken say it!
“The fans are not stupid, they see everything” he said.
Meanwhile, the stand-up comedian DKB has made a U-turn to clear the air, stating categorically that the tweet was not intended for Sarkodie but rather for some other celebrities.
He further claimed that Sarkodie did not displayed party colors during the election, so why people are trying to link his comment to the rapper.
“Guys abeg Sarkodie didn’t show party colors for NPP, as far as last political season is concerned. He may have made suggestive comments.
“Please cut him some slack and spread the vawulence on the celebrities who were in party t-shirts etc, they are the real color showers”
