Ghanaian economist and businessman, Dr. Kofi Amoah, has claimed that Ghana is being run by people who are unable to govern the country.
He claims that the country has reached its lowest point, which is an obvious sign that Ghana’s economy is not being managed by strategic thinkers.
Dr. Kofi Amoah made this statement in response to a news report that claimed Ghana imports tomatoes and Guinea fowl from Europe.
The economist expressed his disappointment with the facts given in the news report in a tweet on July 20, 2022.

He continued by asking Alan Kyeremanten, minister of trade and industry, why Ghana imports such foods from Europe.

Kwesi Pratt previously lamented Ghana’s rapid importation of goods that could simply be produced domestically.
Speaking on atinka fm, Kwesi Pratt expressed how depressing it is to realize that Ghana is the third-largest tomato importer.
According to reports, Ghana loses CFA56 billion, or $99.5 million, to Burkina Faso every year from the importation of fresh tomatoes.
