Rapper Medikal has said that he feels underrated because Ghanaians are yet to acknowledge his talent in the country’s music industry.
Medikal stated emphatically in an interview on HitzFm that giving him the credit and acknowledgment he deserves for his contribution by Ghanaians will suffice.
He believes he has been able to distinguish between his personal identity and his artistic persona as he analysed some of his achievements.
Medikal, whose real name is Samuel Frimpong, also stated that his relevance in the Ghana music industry is due to his unique talent, which many are aware of, but they are failing to acknowledge him for it.
“I think I’m underrated sometimes. I am aware of how to separate myself from the Medikal brand. Some individuals carry the brand along with them. Sometimes when I sit down to watch my shows, I think to myself, “This guy is dope.” That’s the reason I’ve been able to stay relevant for so long. It’s not simple, he remarked.

In addition, Medikal expressed his gratitude to Ghanaians and said he feels that he should be given more credit for his dedication to the country.
“I feel underrated; they ought to give my flowers to me.” I don’t mean to come across as ungrateful; I just think there ought to be more light directed towards me. I’m a very diligent person, so Ghanaians shouldn’t underestimate me. I should be getting more attention,” he concluded.
