Basketmouth has said that, he would love to marry a Ghanaian woman few weeks after announcing his divorce.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s daybreak show with host Andy Dosty, the Nigerian comedian revealed that he is currently looking for a Ghanaian woman to date and possibly marry.
Basketmouth publicly announced his divorce from his wife Elsie Uzoma Okpocha in a viral Instagram post that has since been deleted.
Announcing the end of his 12-year marriage, he said “for the first and the last time as much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
“After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need,” he said.

The celebrated stand-up comedian who is currently in Ghana for a rib-cracking show expressed his love for the West African country, its language, and it’s beautiful women.
In a recent interview with Andy Dosty Basketmouth explained that he is single and plans to take some time off before embarking on a new relationship following his split from Elsie.
According to him, despite the fact that he is in Ghana for a show, he would like to stay for a year and learn the language.

“Twi is an amazing language, I am going to learn more. On my way here, I said to myself, wouldn’t it be cool to learn the language and come stay here for like a year? You know, just chill, get married to a Ghana woman and stuff,”
“I am single but you know I am just kidding. I am not ready to jump into anything just yet…maybe am not kidding, who knows,” Basketmouth added
