Black Stars’ deputy captain, Thomas Partey, has dismissed claims that he does not offer his best performance for the national team at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

He said that he mostly follows the instructions of the technical team and that whatever he does is for the benefit of the team as a whole.

Speaking ahead of Ghana’s crucial match against Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Arsenal midfielder stated that he always gives his all for Ghana to progress.

“Most people expect a lot from me but we are playing as a team and I listen to the coach and do what he tells me”.

“You know you can do something better but you have to stick to what the team wants and not individuality”.

Earlier today Partey also vowed how that negative Criticisms from Ghanaians always encourage the Black Stars to do more at the World Cup.

He added that Black Stars don’t pay attention to negative comments sprinkled on them that will discourage them for their opponent to overcome them.

With these claims, Partey answers to those who have constantly chastised him for missing in matches of Black Stars’ World Cup campaign, despite the fact that he does an excellent job for Otto Addo.
