Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been fired for failing to win a title, nearly three years in charge
Michael Carrick, his assistant has been appointed as interim manager as the club seeks a replacement at the end of the season.
Following a disappointing 4-1 loss to Watford on Saturday, Solskjaer’s job came to an end.

Solskjaer signed a new three-year contract with Manchester United in July, but manager will not be continue after five defeats in the club’s last seven Premier League games, putting them 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Following a devastating 5-0 loss to Liverpool and a 2-0 derby defeat to Manchester City in early November, the Old Trafford leadership had rejected growing calls to relieve Solskjaer of his duties.
However, United officials considered his position on Saturday evening following the humiliating defeat at Watford, before announcing his departure on Sunday morning.
The club confirmed Solskjaer’s departure as a manager on their official Twitter handle.
