Legendary hiphop singer, Sean P. Diddy, has taken a dig at Burna Boy after the singer lost all of his two Grammy Award nominations.

The 65th Grammy Awards were held on Sunday in Los Angeles, with many artists winning big, but Burna Boy ended up being the tail, not the head, of the event.

Burna Boy’s hopes of adding another Grammy plaque to his trophy cabinet were dashed after he lost two his nominations. He lost the Best Global Song performance award, for which ‘Last Last’ was nominated, as well as the Best Global Album award, for which ‘Love, Damini’ was nominated.

Social media users and music fans of the singer took a swipe at the Grammys Board after their idol lost the Best Global Music Performance category, despite how global Burna’s ‘Last Last’ song was.

Burna Boy’s  album “Twice as Tall” which released in 2020 was co-executive produced by P. Diddy added hip hop flavour to help him warm up to North American audiences and ensure the album’s success.

The business entrepreneur, Diddy’s contribution to the Twice as Tall album propelled it to the top of the Billboard US World Album chart and earned them the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album in 2022.

However, Diddy took to his Instagram story and subtly shade the singer, who appears to be ungrateful after the success of his previous album, which he worked on to gain mileage.

“I helped you win your first and only grammy award which I did out of kindness, and somehow you thought you could win another without my help ?? Oh okay..”— P. Diddy wrote
