Raphael Dwamena Wife: Was Raphael Dwamena Married? – Raphael Dwamena was a professional Ghanaian footballer who played last as a striker for Egnatia Rrogozhine in the Albanian Superliga. He died over cardiac arrest after collapsing on a pitch during a match.
He began his football journey in Nkawkaw, engaging in the Red Bull Ghana developmental program. Notably, Dwamena’s prowess shone during the International Tournament in Croix, France, in 2013, where he contributed to RB Ghana U17’s silver medal victory and earned the title of Best Player.
Having trained with FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria alongside David Atanga, Dwamena officially joined Salzburg’s youth team in January 2014. His impact was swift, winning the Golden Shoe for scoring seven goals in four games during a June tournament. Subsequently, he progressed to FC Liefering, the Salzburg farm team, making his professional debut in July 2014.
Dwamena’s football journey continued with successes at Austria Lustenau, scoring 18 goals in 20 games, before he transferred to FC Zürich in January 2017. His prolific scoring, with 12 goals in 18 matches, played a crucial role in Zürich’s triumph in the 2016–17 Swiss Challenge League.

Despite facing heart-related challenges, Dwamena persevered, even getting back on the field with Vejle Boldklub in the Danish Superliga in August 2020. Unfortunately, complications resurfaced, leading to a period of inability to play and eventually ending his stint with the club.
In June 2021, Dwamena returned to Austria, signing a two-year contract with Blau-Weiß Linz. Tragically, on October 28, 2021, during an Austrian Cup game against TSV Hartberg, Dwamena collapsed on the field. Although he recovered in the hospital, this marked the end of his football career in Austria.
Despite not representing Ghana in the youth national teams, Dwamena made his mark in the senior team, debuting on June 11, 2017, in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, where he scored a brace.
On November 11, 2023, Dwamena suffered a cardiac arrest and tragically passed away during a match in the Albanian First Tier National Football Super League. His untimely death led to the postponement or suspension of football and sports events in Albania, according to Albanian post
