Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has won the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at the just-ended Ghana Music Awards UK 2023.

The reggae-dancehall artist beats several others, including Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Piesie Esther, Sarkodie, and King Promise, to clinch the prestigious award category.

The awards ceremony was held at the Royal Regency in London on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

Shatta Wale, winning this coveted award, also delivered an outstanding performance after being absent from the event for six years.
