Since the announcement of the Grammy nominees, there has been speculations as to which artists were nominated or not based on their impact on albums.

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist , Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has finally responded to legendary Rocky Dawuni over his Grammy nomination controversy. 

Rocky Dawuni, who was nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Global Music” category this year, was questioned if Stonebwoy is also a Grammy nominee.

The legendary reggae artist stated clearly on Citi Tv on November 27 that featuring on a Grammy-nominated album does not make you a nominee since the Grammy board has guidelines.

“You have contributed to the song, but you are not a nominee. The thing is, I am not the one saying it; you should go to the Academy website and see who are the nominees,” he said” he explained. 

“featured on a record is a great achievement but we can’t create our own rules here and be using those rules.” he further claimed,

This statement from Rocky has caught Stonebwoy’s attention, prompted him to respond to the widespread uncertainty around his Grammy nomination. 

Stonebwoy took his official Instagram handle to take a subtle dig at Rocky, who was attempting to downplay his impart following his Grammy triumph. 

According to the “Putuu” hitmaker , it’s too early for a two-time Grammy nominee, Rocky to discredit him over three nominated albums he featured on .
