Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, will perform at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 on December 16, 2022 report stated.
The multi-award-winning artist, Stonebwoy who has been announced as one of the headliners at the FIFA Fan Festival event in Doha, Qatar will perform a day before a third-place play-off match on Saturday between Argentina or Croatia vs France or Morocco, according to Qatar FIFA World Cup officials.

“At just 34 years old, Stonebwoy has blazed a trail as one of Africa’s most awarded and lauded artists to date. Gearing up to release his fifth full-length album after signing an artist deal with Def Jam/ Universal, the global stage is rising up in 2022 to meet the talent that is Stonebwoy.
“He is no stranger to success as the recipient of some high-end awards, such as Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards, Reggae and Dancehall Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, four-time AFRIMMA winner and Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award winner, as well as being awarded two Billboard plaques.
“He has performed with high-calibre artists, such as Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz and Burna Boy. He has rocked stages from the UK to the USA, as well as Australia, Italy, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands, making his electrifying touring an integral part of his career.
“The artist was born in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. One of seven siblings, he fell in love with making music from a young age.
“He dropped his first commercial single in 2012 and was quickly noticed thanks to tracks ‘Climax’ featuring Samini and ‘Ghetto Love’ featuring Irene Logan, which exploded on to the scene. The singles garnered him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and appeared on his first album, ‘Grade 1’.

2022 opened up a brand new chapter for Stonebwoy as he releases his first single with Def Jam/ Universal, ‘Therapy’.

With this, the Gidigba crooner will join the lineup of FIFA Fan Festival artistes with the likes of Jamaican Sean Paul, Saudi Arabian DJ Cosmicat, and German Paul Van Dyk who are also billed to perform at this year’s Qatar World Cup on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of December, respectively.
This is huge milestone for Stonebwoy, congrats to him for this Feat and making Ghana proud.
