Tweeter fans has descended on Wizkid on social media following his unity speech at 2022 afronation festival.

This came after the “essence” singer declared his love to Davido claiming that, he doesn’t have hate for either Davido or Burnaboy during his performance on stage at Afronation.

Wizkid has come under fire from Twitter users for claiming that he still loves his fellow musician, Davido, despite their fall out.

They claim that Wizkid only ever seems to openly declare his love for Davido when he is set to release a new project.

Furthermore, they asserted that OBO had tried everything to make amends with BigWiz, even after they had met and hugged, but Wizkid continued to show him fake love.

Grammy Award-winning musician Wizkid expressed his love for Davido and Burnaboy, which has caused quite a stir online while performing at 2022 Afronation in Portugal.

The “Essence” hitmaker speaking on the stage of Afronation music festival on Saturday night stated emphatically that, he has nothing but love for his colleague artistes.

“Everytime I link up with my brother, he is always telling me good shit about unity and Afrobeats. I wanna tell you tonight Starboy got love for Burnaboy, I got love for Davido, I got love for every f**king body”

“I wanna say thank you to the fans for supporting us and bringing us here to”— he said

Recall that Davido and Wizkid, two singers, had been at loggerheads for many years in the past, and there were rumors that they were not friends.

BigWiz also disclosed that he constantly preaches about unity whenever he collaborates with someone (name withheld).

Wizkid puts on an incredible performance at his show “Wizkid Live In Abuja on December 18, 2021.”

It was all love as the crowd erupted in applause throughout Nigerian superstar’s performance that night. 

The most hilarious moment captured camera was when a fan dragged Wizkid’s leg to prevent him from performing on stage while he set the entire venue on fire.

His bodyguards came at the scene to prevent the fan from making contact with Starboi Weezy, however it was later discovered that the fan did so just out of excitement.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Cynthia Ikponmwosa Morgan, popularly known as Cynthia Morgan, has spoken out about Burna Boy’s latest song ” B. D’OR which features WizKid. 

According to the singer, after hearing the latest song by the two celebrated Nigerian artists, she has given it a rating of 5 out of 10 base on her personal reasons.

Cynthia Morgan claimed that the song was written in a hurry and that key elements were missing. Thousands of people have listened to the new song on digital streaming platforms, but it doesn’t sound good to her.

According to the singer, who took to Instagram to voice her thoughts on the B. D’OR song said that, WizKid’s verse on the song wasn’t up to standard with his 8 weak bars whiles African Giant Burna Boy is progressively losing his diversity and arrangement in music.

She also stated that the song’s rhythm and melody are still incomplete, and that it needs be redone for a better composition.

“To me, I feel like, they made this record in a hurry so will rate it 5/10. The first 9seconds f the song was necessary. 

“Also with the intro ? The Melodies / rhyming on the chorus is incomplete ? So please i need a rematch. Shoutout to the beat maker though. You’re a boss”— she stated

Nigerian celebrated artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has become the most awarded African act in history after scooping the “Best International Act” and “Best African Act” awards at just ended 2021 MOBO Awards which was held at Coventry Arena on December 5 

 The “Essence” hitmaker was in a tight competition as he beats the likes of Doja Cat, Drake, Kanye West, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Polo G, Rema, Skillibeng, and Young Stoner Life, Doja Cat, Drake, Kanye West, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Polo G, Rema, Skillibeng, and Young Stoner Life to clinch the highly coveted  “Best International Act” category award.

Big Wiz as he’s affectionately called, didn’t stopped there, he went further to beat the likes of Davido, Burna Boy, CKay, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, NSG, King Promise, and Ayra Starr to  the “Best African Music Act” Award making him the first ever to win a double in those respective categories.

Nigerian artists Wizkid and CKay has been featured on FC Barcelona’s official page following their game versus Real Betis at Camp Nou on December 5, 2021.

The Spanish club is having a difficult season in La Liga this year after their star player Lionel Messi moved to PSG in Ligue 1. 

Despite their difficulties, the Catalan team chose Wizkid’s “Essence ft. Tems” and CKay’s “Nwantiti” to boost their players’ confidence against Real Betis.

Nigerian celebrated artiste Wizkid thrilled millions of fans at the O2 Arena day 3 performance with his “Made In Lagos” concert deluxe edition on December 1 

Burnaboy, one of the surprised acts, joined Wizkid on stage to perform together after his Drift show at Hamburg, Germany.

Following his historic “Made In Lagos” show at the O2 Arena last night, Adesope Olajide a Nigerian-UK based broadcaster, has disclosed how Wizkid handed complimentary food to each and every fan in the auditorium. 

Wizkid did an outstanding thing at his event, according to media personality Adesope Olajide, by offering free food to every black person following his great show in London.

American singer Christopher Maurice Brown popularly known as Chris Brown has showered praises on Wizkid following their performance at “Made In Lagos” deluxe edition at O2 Arena-London on 28, November 

The “No Guidance” singer was one of the surprised acts brought on stage by Wizkid for the first time in the UK after his banned.

The singer had not been performed in the UK over a decade due to an assault on his Ex-girl friend Rihanna in 2009.

For the first time Wizkid introducing his friend Breezy to fans on stage, the Nigerian Afrobeats star kept the fans  in suspense and said; ‘This is my guy, the first guy to ever show me love internationally, this is my brother, this is his first time performing in London for over 10 years.’ 

 Breezy, on the other hand, has showered praises on Wizkid and is proud of him after the two delivered an outstanding performance in front of over 20,000 people at the auditorium. 

Chris Brown also thanked London fans for their outpouring of support.

The death of Ghanaian-American fashion designer Virgil Abloh was announced on 28 November and was said to have battling cancer for several years according to a statement released by his firm. 

LVMH, Louis Vuitton and Off White are devastated to announce the passing of Virgil Abloh, on Sunday, November 28th, of cancer, which he had been battling privately for several years.

His death stunned the fashion industry and Ghanaians together.

The Chief Executive Officer of Milan-based label “Off White” Virgil Abloh has been working with Louis Vuitton since 2018 and was the first American of African descent to be named artistic director of Fendi, a French luxury business, when he worked with rapper Kanye West “Ye”

Ne-Yo, a well-known American R&B musician, recently stated that he wishes he had written Wizkid’s smash hit song “Essence.”

In a recent interview with American entertainment magazine NME, Ne-Yo made this huge statement whilst listing his favorite records. He made special mention of Wizkid’s Essence as a song, he wished to have composed.

He wondered why such a beautiful song never triggered his music sense for him to have written and owned it.

As if not all he spoke passionately about his wild admiration for the song, the rate at which it can be put on rotation for 17 times without getting boring.

Essence is one of those recordings that just makes sense,” he says in an excerpt from his interview. They could replay it 17 times and you still wouldn’t know what happened.

Wizkid is one of the new generation artists that Ne-Yo admires.

The show has been slated to air live from the Barclays Center in New York on 12 September at 8PM.

Nigerian superstar Starboi Wizkid has won his first ever Grammy Award with Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” song at premiere ceremony of the 63rd Grammy Awards.

The “Brown Skin Girl” which was made on the Beyoncé’s Lion King Album beats the likes of Future with Drake and Woodkid in the Best Music Video category on 14, March 2021.

According to Recording Academy and their rules,  the Best Music Video award is given to the artist, video director and producer of the music video.

Wizkid has now two (2) career nominations at the grammys  

Burnaboy “The African Giant” also won the Best Global Music Album Award with his Twice As Tall Album.

The “Twice as Tall” Album features wide range of international artistes like Stormzy, Naughty By Nature, and Chris Martin of Coldplay, Yousou Ndour among others.

Burna Boy was nominated in the same category in 2019 then known as Best World Music Album but lost out to Angelique Kidjo at the awards ceremony in 2020.

Wizkid and Burnaboy has become the first Afrobeat Artistes to ever won or added Grammy awards to their cabinets. Congrats to them.
