Tory Lanez’s Father Accuses Jay-Z And Roc Nation After His Son’s Guilty Verdict

Tory Lanez’s father Sonstar Peterson has criticized the trial as biassed and branded Jay-Z and Roc Nation as snitches following his son’s guilty plea of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

On Friday December 23, rapper Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) was found guilty of three counts of felony assault in connection with the shooting of Mega Thee Stallion.

Carrying a concealed, unregistered firearm and using a firearm carelessly were among the three charges. In the criminal assault, a semiautomatic weapon was used. Lanez pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The jury concluded that he shot at Stallion’s feet in a rage attack after an altercation at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home after a drunken party.

Tory Lanez, who refused to testify, faces up to 22 years in prison and deportation to his native Canada. After being found guilty of shooting “Hot Girl Summer” Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, his sentence date has been set to January 2023.

“We are shocked by the verdict. There was not sufficient evidence to convict Mr. Peterson. We believe this case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. We will be exploring all options including an appeal,” Lanez’s defense lawyer George Mgdesyan said in a statement.

Sonstar called the court system “wicked,” according to Rolling Stone, and singled out two prosecutors in particular. “You two, you are wicked, you are evil,” he said before being forcibly removed from the courtroom.

Tory Lanez’s father Sonstar in an emotional response when leaving the courtroom called out Jay-Z, Roc Nation and their CEO Desiree Perez a “snitches” and blamed them after his son’s guilty verdict.
