The match between Ghana and Uruguay was one of the most anticipated matches in Group H at the Qatar World Cup, with every football lovers and supporters looking forward to it. 

The two teams took over the Al Janoub stadium on Friday. Ghana was defeated by Uruguay, but they both came back home after South Korea defeated Portugal. 

The Ghana versus Uruguay match became more intense as Korea’s late goal advanced them to the next round, where some key players in Uruguay team were furious.

Edinson Cavani was among the players who became enraged. He was captured on camera pushing down the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) monitor after his team was knocked out from the competition despite a 2-0 victory over Ghana. 

Daniel Amartey’s Challenge on Darwin Nunez 

As his team left the field of play at full-time, Edinson Cavani vented his frustration over Uruguay’s early World Cup exit on the pitch-side VAR monitor.

Cavani came off the bench for long-time strike partner Luis Suarez on 65 minutes but was unable to help his team to a third goal and was one of several players that surrounded the referee after the game.

When Black Stars Defender Daniel Amartey hit him off the ball with his shoulder, he protested for a penalty, but the referee judged it was not obstruction. The tackle on Dewayne by Seidu Alidu was also denied a foul by the referee, forcing the striker to smash down the VAR monitor after the game.
