Ghanaian Black Stars Captain, Andre Dede Ayew has assured Ghanaians that they will perform much better in their upcoming game.
Dede Ayew and Mohammed Kudus have been trending since yesterday, when they scored the game-winning goal.
According to Dede Ayew, even though they lost to Portugal, the remainder of the team is determined to win their remaining games and progress out of the group.
In a post-match press conference, Ayew stated emphatically that Ghana made some unforgivable errors that cost them the game.
“In football, you would always pay for your mistakes, and that is what happened to us.
“We made some errors, and they punished us for that. The last two goals from Portugal were so quick we could not recover, but we have always survived difficult conditions and we would come back good,” he added.
“We qualified for the world from a very difficult group and conditions. I know this team we always get out of very difficult conditions.
“I am convinced we would return well in the next game. We showed good character in the game against Portugal, and we can make things better in the next game,” Captain Ayew stated.
In other news, former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo branding him a cheat following his penalty with Ghana.
Chris Sutton speaking to daily Mail stated that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is setting a bad example for young kids his penalty awarded by US referee.
“The VAR officials are absolute bottle jobs. It is not good play from Ronaldo, it’s a terrible example for young kids everywhere around the world,” Sutton said
“He’s a brilliant player but it was cheating. I thought the officials needed to be stronger, it’s embarrassing really how they missed it.” — He said
