After Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019, Murdoch was named chairman and CEO of the Fox Corporation.

Murdoch faced legal challenges, including lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, related to allegations of spreading false election fraud narratives through Fox News. In April 2023, Fox News Corp settled with Dominion for $787.5 million.
