During the song’s breakdown, the 21-year-old artiste explained how the Soja song came to be, revealing that the song was originally planned for his upcoming album but his management rejected it, only to change their minds and include it again after previewing it.

“Did you know how I recorded this song? – It was rejected after I finished recording my album, but it was later reinstated.

“So I asked them why they’d changed their minds again by including the “Soja” song, and they said it really touches their souls after listening to it.” He told Sadiq.

According to BET Awards nominee Black Sherif, he wasn’t surprised when management told him to include it again on the album because he knows how much effort he put into that song, which took him a full week to complete properly.

“The mood I was in when recording the “Soja” song was different, and it was mandatory for me to write it, and for five (5) months now, I’ve never considered doing trap music because I want to be myself,” he concluded.
