Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer-songwriter, Gregory Bortey Newman popularly known as King Promise has shared his opinion on the topic of whether TikTok is now the avenue through which every musician may achieve global recognition for their music.

This happened when an argument about whether TikTok Influencers now have complete influence over the marketing and promotion of songs in the entertainment music sector.

King Promise in a interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak show on HitzFm stated emphatically that, TikTok is now part of the whole marketing process of any music industry.

According to him, TikTok is one of the phenomenal platforms that can make your music contents goes viral despite using other mean to get your music in the stream.

“TikTok is a phenomenal and you must be a fool not to accept that it one of the marketing process”—he said.

He further claimed that despite using other methods to improve a song’s popularity, TikTok is generally the leading platform for musicians to expand their audience and spark global conversation about music.

On Saturday 23, 2022, King promise unveiled his 2nd studio album dubbed “5 Star” which consist of 14 tracks and features some heavyweight artistes with the likes of Wizkid, Sarkdie, Omah Lay, Headie One, Patoranking, Bisa K’dei, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper among others.

There were other artistes and celebrities like Omar Sterling, Freedom Jacob Caesar, Small god, Angel TownBaby among others were at the 5 Star album listening party held at Ecobank Ghana.
