Rapper Lil Durk has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on the night of Thursday, October 24, 2024 in South Florida as the rapper is currently taken into custody in Broward County, Fla Correctional Facility, awaiting extradition to California on federal charges.
He faces charges related to a “murder-for-hire” plot in connection with the death of Saviay’a Robinson, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, who was killed on August 19.
Lil Durk’s arrest is connected to an indictment involving five other men accused of conspiring in the alleged murder-for-hire scheme.
The other accusers namely; Kavon London Grant (Vonnie), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (DeDe), Keith Jones (Flacka), David Brian Lindsey (Browneyez), and Asa Houston (Boogie), are now facing federal charges of conspiracy to commit murder for hire.
The indictment suggests that OTF resources were used to arrange travel and weapons for the attack, reportedly aimed at Quando Rondo but resulting in the tragic death of Robinson instead.
Robinson, who was 24 at the time, was fatally shot in 2020 while traveling with Quando Rondo and his entourage. The incident occurred at a gas station in Beverly Grove, Los Angeles, where a series of gunshots were fired at their vehicle.
While Quando Rondo emerged unscathed, Robinson succumbed to severe injuries.
Authorities have linked Lil Durk’s current charges to the ongoing feud, notably tying it to the 2020 death of King Von, who was reportedly killed by one of Quando Rondo’s associates, Timothy “Lul Timm.”
Lil Durk, now held without bond, awaits further investigation as law enforcement works to uncover additional suspects potentially involved in the conspiracy.
