“My accident wasn’t natural, it was an attack because they wanted to kill me” – Wendy Shay

Wendy Shay has claimed that her accident which occurred on Kwabenya-Accra road was not as natural as many presume.

She made this shocking revelation during an interview with Andy Dosty on HitzFm, indicating emphatically that it was an attack and a deliberate attempt to kill her.

In explaining how the accident occurred, Wendy said; I was going home, I had finished creating a content going home and i passed by  my label mate Kiki Marley just to say hi” and also to help her on her content as well… Then on my way home I had to branch to my junction and all of a sudden I had a big push and I almost lost control.

“I remembered all I was creaming was Jesus  because it happens so fast and didn’t know what was going on and then i entered into a gutter. I didn’t even realized my head hit the dashboard but all of a sudden i realized that so they had to rush me to the hospital.

Wendy Shay revealing why unknown persons  wanted to kill her by means of accident, she said “ The kind of accident I had was very severe and serious. For me to be here is by God’s Grace. It actually funny to me that’s why and i will say it once again, those who wanted to kill me they know themselves and trying to put it on Bullet, It wasn’t like a normal attack and it wasn’t natural”

The singer further advised aspiring and upcoming artists to consider their spiritual backing before appearing under limelight because “music is not just music; they always see it.”

A video has gone viral on the internet showing  Afia Schwarzenegger going angry as she ripped and torn down posters of Alan Kyerematen.

The comedienne shared the video on her Instagram, revealing her immediate rage upon spotting the campaign posters on her property.

An unknown person had glued the posters onto an aluminum zinc sheet fence surrounding an ongoing housing project owned by Afia Schwarzenegger.

Afia Schwarzenegger, while removing and tearing Alan Kyerematen’s campaign posters, issued a warning to the aspiring president and his team, demanding that they seek her permission before placing their belongings on her property.

“If you post your flag bearer on my property or any politician on my property without my permission the reaction you will get is epic.. TRY ME” — She claimed

Alan Kyerematen recently resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to run as an independent candidate with his “Movement for Change” party in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

His resignation came after he was defeated in the Super Delegates Congress by Vice President Bawumia, who received 629 votes, followed by Kennedy Agyapong, who earned  132 votes, and Alan had 95 votes.

Following his resignation, the NPP issued a notice cautioning its members to distance themselves from any content related to Alan Kyerematen.

Jamaican reggae legend Buju Banton showered praises on Stonebwoy as he detailed his relationship with the Ghanaian music star.

Buju Banton in a conversation on 3Music’s ‘3hread Special’ program revealed the story behind his friendship with Stonebwoy, claiming that the “Into the Future” hitmaker used to clean his guitar some years ago during his stay in Ghana.

According to him, this happened two decades ago when he was in his teenage years and learning to play the guitar.

“When I was in my early 20’s, when I just started playing guitar, I couldn’t tune my own guitar, so this kid comes to the house and cleaned all my guitars and stuffs”— Buju Banton said.

When asked about a potential collaboration between him and Stonebwoy, the 50-year-old musician replied that time would truly manifest itself.

Apparently with his current age, Stonebwoy, who is much younger, was only nine years old during that period when he began building his solid relationship with the Caribbean singer.

As a result, Stonebwoy and Buju Banton have met on three different occasions. They first crossed paths in 2019 at the Afro Nation Festival in Portugal and again in 2021 in Jamaica.

They went ahead and worked together on “Survivor Riddim” project by Buju with a song titled ‘CrossRoads” which featured other Jamaican artistes such as Chronic Law, Richie Spice and others.

Meanwhile Buju Banton’s praise for Stonebwoy has garnered reactions from many, with some acknowledging Stonebwoy’s humble beginnings, while others are less familiar with the story line from Buju.

Multiple award-winning artist, Samini has settled the debate on who is better between long-term rivals Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have dominated Ghana-Africa reggae-dancehall fraternity since they stepped onto the scene in 2004 and 2012 respectively.

Who is the reggae dancehall King debate between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has been raging on for nearly a decade now as the two celebrated artistes keeps accumulating several highly coveted awards for themselves.

Undoubtedly, Samini has been labeled as the front-liner and the face of the reggae-dancehall genre to Africa but it was Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who added more flavor to spice up the industry due to their longest running beef.

However, in a conversation with Bella Mundi on Tv3 Day Show, Samini chose Shatta Wale over Stonebwoy as the best reggae dancehall artist and talent.

In explaining why he picked Shatta Wale over Stonebwoy,  Samini stated that, “Shatta Wale comes from my era and I think he has more under his belt and than Stonebwoy”….Stonebwoy is still coming up”

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy released his debut single “Claimax” featuring Samini in 2012 when he was signed to ‘Samini Music,’ followed by “Ghetto Love” with Iren Logan, both of which earned him VGMA nominations.

On the unfortunate night in question, she used her social media platform to capture a frightening series of events in which looters wrecked many stores, including an Apple shop, Foot Locker, Lululemon, and a liquor store.

Her films were notable not only for their recording of the looting, but also for her apparent joy and encouragement for those caught up in the turmoil. While filming suspected looters, Blackwell could be seen smiling, cheering, and saying phrases like “Let’s go!”

In one particularly dramatic video clip, she exclaimed, “This is what happens when we don’t get justice in this city,” implying underlying tensions or grievances.

Her a live stream showed looters breaking into the Apple shop and stealing iPhones and tablets. Blackwell even applauded people who displayed their stolen electronics.

However, when police enforcement arrived, the night took a turn for the worse. Blackwell can be heard shouting in her films, “Don’t touch them! As she watched police apprehending people outside a looted store, she exclaimed, “Record this!”

Why Was Meatball Arrested?

Following that, the live stream showed looters ransacking a liquor store and a quick view of Blackwell clutching a bottle filled with a brown liquid.

During her live feed, social media users shared videos of Blackwell’s apparent incarceration by police officers. She is seen being brought away in handcuffs in one video.

At this time, it is unknown whether Dayjia Blackwell, also known as “Meatball,” has been arrested or charged in connection with these events. The Philadelphia Police Department has yet to react to calls for confirmation, and Meatball has not responded to queries received through her social media platforms.

The looting episode in Philadelphia, involving roughly 100 people, has prompted serious concerns about the role of influencers in filming and, at times, inciting illegal activity. Authorities and the general public are now wrestling with the ramifications of social media’s impact on real-world events.

The reggae-dancehall artiste expressed his disgust during an interview on The Day Show with host Berla Mundi, where Sarkodie’s lifestyle and relationships with experienced musicians were questioned,

Samini claimed that he approached Sarkodie about a possible collaboration but received a negative response. When asked about the incident, Samini stated that Sarkodie had evaded discussing it.

He emphasised the need of respecting older artists in the industry, especially when new artists seek collaborations with established performers. Samini’s goal was to send the message that disrespect should not be accepted, particularly when established artists are asked for collaboration.

“I want young artists to know that it’s not okay to be disrespectful. When you’re asked about something, don’t try to mislead people and make them think the complainer is making things up,” Samini explained.

“I responded to him based on how he treated me before, which made me doubt his respect for legends like myself. Having a ‘blue tick’ doesn’t mean I should assume you respect me after you’ve played games with me, despite my quick response to your requests.“

Samini’s previous accusations about Sarkodie’s refusal to respond to his collaborative request for the 2021 Burning-EP led this public dispute.

Shatta Wale has responded to a letter from Sammy Flex, a member of his management team, regarding the cancellation of his Freedom Wave Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium this year.

In his letter, Sammy Flex asked the dancehall star consider cancelling the concert for everyone’s safety.

He also cited escalating political tensions and the allocation of the venue to another singer as reasons to consider other options.

Sammy Flex expressed concern that these factors will disrupt the concert and make both Shatta Wale’s team and fans unhappy.

In response, Shatta Wale shared the letter on Facebook and stated that he will follow his manager’s advice.

He stated that he believes there is a hidden motive against him and that his outspoken attitude is one of the reasons he is a target in the country.

Shatta Wale claimed that his father had sent him a video a few weeks ago, and Sammy Flex’s letter aligns to that video.

He also acknowledged that working with Sammy Flex brought about changes in himself and his spirituality.

He urged Shatta Movement fans to carefully read and assess what his manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah, had written, and he encouraged open discussion. He ended his his post on a positive note, saying, “Better days ahead.”

Shatta Wale previously stated that his Freedom Wave concert would take place on December 20-25 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Stonebwoy, on the other hand, later announced his own end-of-year concert for December 22 at the same venue, causing confusion because Shatta claimed to have booked the stadium first but was requested to reschedule for the next year.

Ghana Police have reportedly arrested popular TikToker Kakai Shatta.

He was detained for allegedly defrauding many Ghanaians by posing as a crippled man and taking money from unaware individuals.

Kakai Shatta recently appeared as a guest on Nana Ama Brown’s Onua TV Showtime, alongside popular comedy actor Atemuda, where they performed a skit.

When it became clear that he was not truly disabled, several people demanded his arrest.

Mr Logic, a talent manager and entertainment pundit, has criticised the youth and participants in the three-day #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration.

While acknowledging Ghanaians’ economic challenges and hardship, he feels that young people should cherish the peace prevailing in the country rather than engaging in what he deems as unwise actions.

Last week, Ghanaian youth gathered in Accra for a three-day protest organised by the Democracy Hub to draw attention to alleged government economic mismanagement and resulting difficulties for citizens.

Despite its nonviolent objective, the protest caused some discomfort for those who took part.
