Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan recently revealed that he abstains from alcohol, attributing his good looks to this choice.

The 37-year-old continues to be admired by many wherever he goes despite retiring from football a few months ago.

During an Instagram live session with his followers, the former Black Stars striker emphasized that avoiding alcohol has been the key to maintaining his handsome appearance.

“I don’t drink that’s why I’m this fine. It doesn’t mean that I’m condemning those who drink alcohol but the secret to my fineness is that I don’t drink alcohol,” he said, as quoted by Ghanaweb.

Gyan officially announced his retirement from football during a speech at the 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting on June 20, 2023.

He concluded his illustrious career as Ghana’s all-time leading scorer with 51 goals and the country’s second most-capped player.

Additionally, he holds the title of Africa’s highest scorer at the FIFA World Cup, having netted six goals over three tournaments.

Before retiring, Gyan had not represented the national team for over four years, with his last appearance dating back to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He was notably absent from Ghana’s squad in last year’s World Cup in Qatar, where the Black Stars exited the tournament during the group stages.

On the club front, his last appearance was with Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities two years ago, after which he had been inactive following his departure from the team.

While Asamoah Gyan’s future plans remain uncertain, he has been primarily involved in football punditry and holds a UEFA B coaching license, although he has yet to take up any coaching roles.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently suing Juventus for failing to make a promised payment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has decided to sue Juventus for failing to pay him a agreed-on amount of £17m approximately €19.9 million while seeking to manage their budget during the COVID era.

Ronaldo has already addressed the situation with the Prosecutor’s Office in Turin and has decided to take legal action against the Italian club.

Freezy MacBones born Seth Gyimah has lost his first boxing match to Senegalese fighter Seydou Konate at the 2024 Olympic Games in Darkar.

This defeat occurred during the round of 16 preliminary rounds in the Light Heavyweight division [81kg], preventing him from advancing to the next level of the competition.

Prior to this bout, the British-Ghanaian boxer had an impeccable record, having never lost a match in his career.

The 33-year-old had a stunning victory over Darryl Sharp, demonstrating his ring prowess.

Since making his boxing debut, Freezy MacBones has competed in three matches, winning against renowned opponents such as Joe Joyce and Zhilei Zhang.

His latest loss to Seydou Konate, on the other hand, underscored the difficulties he faced in the sport.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Olympic Boxing teams, known as the Black Bombers for men and the Black Bombsrs for women, are now in West Africa, hoping to represent Ghana proudly and gain a spot in next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.

However, it is Gyimah’s debut for Ghana after landing in Ghana from the United Kingdom and joining his fellow boxers for the assignment in Senegal, with hopes of representing the country again in Paris.

He arrived in Senegal from the United Kingdom, hoping to continue representing his country on the international scene, particularly at the next Paris Olympics.

Veteran coach Louis van Gaal has made surprising statement regarding the 2022 Qatar World Cup, suggesting that it was manipulated in favor of Lionel Messi and Argentina.

This has sparked a heated debate among football fans and aficionados all around the world, concerning Van Gal’s assertions that, Argentina rigged the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

In explaining why the FIFA rigged the World Cup, Van Gaal claims that “ There was a deliberate attempt to make Lionel Messi the World Cup champion”.

Mohammed Kudus has bid a heartfelt farewell to Ajax as he embarks on a new journey with West Ham United in the English Premier League.

The Ghanaian international, who spent three memorable seasons with Ajax after joining from Nordsjaelland in 2020, shared his emotions on social media.

West Ham United successfully completed the signing of Kudus Mohammed on August 27, 2023, with the midfielder committing to a five-year deal for a reported fee of £38 million.

The 23-year-old becomes the fourth addition to the West Ham squad for the summer transfer window, joining the likes of Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, and Konstantinos Mavropanos following Declan Rice’s departure.
