He was a 28-year-old Ghanaian footballer born on September 12 1995 in Nkawkaw. Dwamena began his football journey at an early age, engaging in the Red Bull Ghana developmental program.
Notably, Dwamena’s prowess shone during the International Tournament in Croix, France, in 2013, where he contributed to RB Ghana U17’s silver medal victory and earned the title of Best Player.
Having trained with FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria alongside David Atanga, Dwamena officially joined Salzburg’s youth team in January 2014.
His impact was swift, winning the Golden Shoe for scoring seven goals in four games during a June tournament. Subsequently, he progressed to FC Liefering, the Salzburg farm team, making his professional debut in July 2014.
Dwamena’s football journey continued with successes at Austria Lustenau, scoring 18 goals in 20 games, before he transferred to FC Zürich in January 2017. His prolific scoring, with 12 goals in 18 matches, played a crucial role in Zürich’s triumph in the 2016–17 Swiss Challenge League.
