Ghanaian media personality and organiser of the University of Ghana Liman Concert, George Britton, has spoken out about the scaffle that happened last night.
He made a shocking revelation, implying that Shatta Wale may have been arrested if he had appeared at the Yenkah Hall event.
His disclosure comes after fans sought to find out more about the incident due to the conflicting and different opinions around the issue, despite the school’s authorities issuing a statement to address the situation at hand.
According to the head of Deans of Students Affairs, they were uninformed of the impending concert on campus, therefore they cancelled it, including Shatta Wale himself.
However, George Britton, the manager of Afrobeats musician Camidoh, revealed more details about the incident, including why Shatta Wale was excluded from the planned event.
According to him, the school authorities only wanted other artists to perform, with the exception of Shatta Wale, who could have ended up in the hands of the police due to higher authority.
“The school authorities wanted us to bring every other artistes but not Shatta Wale. We were told he was going to be arrested if he had come there. I hv no clue why that decision was made but our legal team will continue from here” — George Britton said.
Fans have expressed disbelief at Britton’s statement as to why their idol would be nabbed despite appearing on the event flyer for a performance and having his Shaxi company as a partner.
