Mr Abane Adongo and Mrs Mary Abane Adongo, both Ghanaians, gave birth to him. His father is a businessman, and his mother, who died in her sleep in 2022, was also a seller.
Isaac Adogo, who grew up in an impoverished home and was grieving the death of his mother, wrote a lengthy tribute to remember how late Mary was very compassionate and supportive of his profession since childhood.
In some part of his tribute; Isaac Adongo wrote; “In all these years, you moulded me into the man I have become. My childhood years with you were my very best in life.
You were such a determined and hardworking mother who wanted the very best for me, even as a poor mother”.
“I hardly woke up from bed to see you in the house. You would leave the house at the break of dawn to your ‘office’ at the Obuasi Central Lorry Station, where you sold kola nuts and cigarettes to raise me.”
