The Member of Parliament for the Effia Constituency, Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko, has announced a new youth empowerment initiative aimed at equipping young people in the constituency with practical driving skills and improving their chances of securing employment.
Dubbed “OYƆNKƆPA BƆAFOƆ Driving Training for the Youth,” the initiative is a free driving training programme scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026.
According to the Effia MP, the programme was introduced in response to requests and data gathered during his youth engagement initiative, “Time with the Youth,” where he interacted with young people across the constituency and listened to their concerns and aspirations.
Under the programme, selected beneficiaries will receive practical driving instruction and assistance towards obtaining a valid driver’s licence.
The initiative is expected to give participating young people an additional employable skill, particularly in areas where having a driver’s licence is a requirement for job opportunities.
Announcing the programme on social media, Lawyer Boamah Nyarko said the initiative reflects his continued commitment to creating practical opportunities for young people in Effia.
“OYƆNKƆPA BƆAFOƆ DRIVING TRAINING FOR THE YOUTH.
On 1st September, 2026, I will roll out a free Driving Training Program for the youth of Effia.
The initiative follows data and requests gathered during my Youth Tour – ‘Time with the Youth.’
Beneficiaries will receive practical driving training and then a valid Driver’s Licence to enhance job opportunities for the youth.
This is yet another testament to my unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and development in Effia.”
The announcement adds to ongoing efforts to provide young people in the constituency with skills and opportunities that can improve their economic prospects.
