Peseiro’s playing career ended during the 1993-94 season with União de Santarem in the fourth tier. He swiftly moved through the coaching ranks, advanced in his career, and took charge of C.D Nacional, securing promotion to the top of the Primeira Liga in three seasons.

His coaching career saw him reach new heights as manager of Sporting CP and Porto.Despite prior victories over Feyenoord, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle United, the 2005 UEFA Cup final versus Sporting CP was a heartbreaking match against PFC CSKA Moscow.

Peseiro’s coaching career brought him all over the world, from the United Arab Emirates to Saudi Arabia, including an internship at Panathinaiko in Greece.
