Popular Ghanaian pastor and politician Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has made a bold and controversial statement claiming that, heaven and hell does not exist as understood by Christians and other religious groups.
In a recent interview on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show with host Oduefour Nana Asabre, Kyiri Abosom states emphatically that “heaven is a scam”.
According to Kyiri Abosom, heaven is not a distant, spiritual realm as described in the Bible and preached in churches, but rather, it exists here on earth.
He emphasizes that when people die, they do not go anywhere but remain on earth,contrary to popular religious teachings.
Kyiri Abosom who is the founder of the Ghana Union Movement also argues that the belief in a heavenly afterlife could slow the country’s economic development.
He suggests that focusing on an imagined afterlife might distract people from working towards tangible progress in this world.
“I do not believe in heaven or hell since they do not exist. There is nothing like because they are all fictional. Heaven is a scam. It only exists on Earth. If we do not properly prepare our country, we are only fooling ourselves and wasting our time”- he said.
