Popular Nigerian pastor Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned Napoli footballer Victor Osimhen not to join Premier League team FC Chelsea.
According to him, Super Eagles attacker Osimhen should be mindful of his decision to play for the Blues; otherwise, ‘it will kill his career’.
The warning comes after the man of God was sighted in a self-recorded video shared by ESPN Africa news outlet on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, sparking a massive controversy among football fans.
Osimhen has been linked with several top teams, with Chelsea leading the race to recruit the former Lile player.

According to multiple sources, Saudi Arabian clubs are among those interested in triggering his €120 million release clause in order to clinch his signature.
The Nigerian international, on the other hand, is eager to join Paris Saint Germain (PSG) while the club awaits the completion of the transfer due to Napoli’s significant interest in Romelu Lukaku.
The 25-year-old forward has decided not to play for Napoli, citing various uncertainty and problems with the Italian powerhouse last season that have clouded his future.
His outstanding performance for Napoli enabled “The Naples” to win their first Italian league after 33 years.
However, in response to news of Osimhen’s likely destination, Primate Elijah Ayodele warns the striker against heading to Chelsea, claiming that joining the English club will jeopardise his career.
The founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church expresses his frustration, calling on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to invite Osimhen to the national squad if he joins Chelsea.
“I want to quickly advise, as directed, Osimhen not to go to Chelsea. If you go to Chelsea, you will not shine, and it will kill your career,” he said.
“NFF, if Osimhen goes to Chelsea, don’t call him. They need to review calling Osimhen to the Super Eagles properly. We have all the teams to go to the World Cup and Nations Cup. We will begin to preview all of this and see how it goes.”

Meanwhile, Napoli are unwilling to sell Osimhen, but the soccer star submitted a transfer request earlier this week, driving the club to hunt for a successor, with Lukaku the best option to replace him in the squad.
