The death of Ghanaian coach Felix Tamakloe, who sadly passed away after battle with a mild stroke, has caused a huge blow to the football community. Tamakloe, 58, died on Monday, October 21, at the 37 Military Hospital while receiving treatment for a stroke, according to a statement released by his former team Swedru All Blacks.
The club confirmed Tamakloe’s death, describing him as a “beloved football coach and cherished member” who had a significant impact on friends with his leadership skills.
They also expressed their condolences by praying and “asking privacy for Tamakloe’s family during this difficult time.”
Felix Tamakloe who was the head coach of Division One League side met his death after being rushed to the hospital during his team’s match day 3 game against Future Stars in the Ashanti Region, 3Sports also reports.
He was reportedly diagnosed with a mild stroke, after which doctors advised him to take a break from active coaching.
However, he tragically passed away yesterday, leading to touching tributes from the football community in Ghana.
Coach Tamakloe had been one of the best managers in the lower division, having previously managed Skyy FC, Sekondi Hasaacas and FC Samartex.
He had also led Swedru All Blacks to an impressive start to the season, as they sit at the top of Zone Two with 10 points in the Division One League.
Meanwhile, following his death, Tamakloe’s family is yet to make an official statement or obituary, as well as his funeral and burial arrangements are still unknown.
