Following the divorce announcement, renowned football coach Pep Guardiola reportedly travelled to Spain to mend his marriage with wife Cristina Serra.
According to reports, the Manchester City manager secretly visited Barcelona in an attempt to reconcile with Serra after their split news in January.
Guardiola, who “hopes to save his marriage, took a three-day trip to Barcelona, staying at his wife Cristina’s home”, according to TheSun.
Guadiola who is 54 years old flew in a private jet from Manchester to Barcelona just hours after his team’s 3-1 FA Cup victory against Plymouth last Saturday.
City had seven days without a game ahead of Premier League match defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Source claims that, the troubled couple “spent three nights together in Barcelona both staying at the famy home” following the arrival of Pep in the country.
It was also learned that multiple award-winning manager went to the dentist on Monday, while Cristina went to her city centre fashion shop.
“They met up again at the shop and spent three hours there before returning to the house to spend the evening together.
“Pep left for Manchester on Tuesday morning.”
The trip has given rise to hopes that the pair will save their marriage.
Meanwhile, Pep and Cristina were said to have drifted apaet after the mother of three moved back to Barcelona in 2019.
However, many football fans, including Cityzens, expressed their delight at Pep Guardiola’s decision to go to Spain, to reconnect with his wife in order to bring the club to winning ways since they believe it has had an insignificant impact on the team.
