Reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy has been accused of using a fake Twitter account to insult and mock fellow artistes, sparking controversy and heated reactions on social media.
The exposé stems from Stonebwoy’s decision to join a public X space with the theme “Torcherzsn” after he mistakenly used an anonymous account under the handle Lasmid BWOY@BhimDefender, with fans accusing him of being the one behind the burner account.
This caused debate among fans, with many questioning whether he had indeed forgotten to switch to his regular account before interacting with them during the live session.
Following the unfortunate situation, fans on Twitter began to dig past tweets by Lasmid BWOY to back up their claims in an attempt to take revenge against Stonebwoy.
Among the evidence they uncovered was a video of Aisha Modi, a die-hard Bhim fan, commenting on how her idol had created multiple fake accounts to attack Shatta Wale and other artists in order to discredit their work.
In a 2021 post, Lasmid BWOY stated that Sarkodie’s “No Pressure” album was a disappointment, and in 2023, he criticised the rapper, saying, “You wish you had a verse in there…” “It simple.”
Others shared screenshots demonstrating that they had been receiving threatening message in their DMs if they criticised him.
This prompted Stonebwoy’s fans to express their unwavering support for the artist in reaction to the allegation, asserting that the account in question is merely a fan page and not managed by him.
So basically, Stonebwoy is using the account that insults people like Sarkodie and other prominent people.
