The identity of Vladislav Liulkov, the Russian native reportedly known as Yaysteslav Trahov and linked to a fast-spreading viral controversy in Ghana, has been officially confirmed following preliminary investigations by cybersecurity and law-enforcement authorities.
The disclosure was made by Sam George during an official briefing on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, as part of an ongoing review into the circumstances surrounding the online videos and public claims connected to the case.
According to the briefing, investigators confirmed the Russian Guy’s real name as Vladislav Liulkovafter internal verification processes involving immigration records and digital evidence review.
The confirmation forms part of a wider inquiry being coordinated by cybersecurity officials and security agencies to establish the full context behind the viral content circulating on social media platforms.
Authorities stressed that the verification was necessary to separate public speculation from officially established facts, especially as the story continued to attract widespread attention both within Ghana and internationally.
During the update, it was also confirmed that the Russian Guy’s passport information had been reviewed by relevant agencies as part of standard identity validation procedures.
Sam George also shared the passport on Twitter (now known as X) which revealed that the Russian Guy had an international passport issued by the Russian Federation.
According to his bio, Vladislav Luilkov is 36 years old and was born on September 19, 1989. He will turn 37 in seven months.
The passport was issued on December 9, 2025, and will expire on December 9, 2035.

It is also inscribed in both Cyrillic and English. Sam George stated in the press that the reason Vladislav’s extradition to Ghana is impossible following Russia’s refusal to extradite him to Ghana is due to the country’s strict constitutional constraints.
Additionally, he claims that, the institution will work effortlessly through INTERPOL’s arrest warrant in order to get him arrested after verifying the authenticity and origin of his viral videos.

They also advised the public not to share unconfirmed claims, edited footage, or misleading narratives while investigations are ongoing.
