Latif, often known as Latz, was a UK-based professional fitness trainer from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and one of the victims killed in Anthony Joshua’s horrific car accident in Nigeria.
He was confirmed dead on December 29, 2025, with one friend identified as Sina during their Christmas trip to the West African country.
Prior to the incident, Latz was considered Anthony Joshua’s best friend and personal trainer. He posted a video of himself with the boxer on Snapchat after he arrived at the Nigerian airport, expressing his joy.
He was seen wearing a black leather jacket and a yellow cap while posing taking photos and videos until he met his untimely death.
Another scene shows the bodybuilder and Joshua playing tennis together to demonstrate their love for living in Nigeria.
Latif has been a key member of Anthony Joshua’s staff. He has always attributed his success to AJ, whom he has worked with over ten years.
He was active on various social media platforms, including Instagram, where he had over 78,000 followers.
His YouTube channel, “Healthy Mindset,” which has over 11,000 subscribers, features workout videos that demonstrate his passion for fitness.
In response to his death, many people shared their profound condolences and sympathies on social media, mourning him after years of dedication and hard work with heavyweight boxer.
Latz’s body is currently deposited at a Nigerian mortuary following the crash, since his family has yet to receive the remains for final burial and funeral.
