Some Argentina fans went so far as to burn a coffin with Kylian Mbappe’s face during the World Cup trophy celebrations to express their hatred for the French footballer.
The open-top bus parade through the streets of Buenos Aires drew over 4 million Argentines, but it had to be halted for safety reasons due to some fans attempting to jump onto the bus from above.
A viral video shared on social media from the celebration showed some Argentina fans holding up a coffin containing a cross and a picture of Mbappe.
The video that was shared online saw the Argentina fans lit up a flame on a photo of Mbappe placed on a Coffin while they jumping up and down chanting.
The footage, which was posted on Twitter by Get French Football News, claimed that the Argentina fans did this in celebration of Mbappe’s birthday. The captioned reads: Argentinians with a lovely 24th birthday present for Kylian Mbappé here’. Watch the video as you keep scrolling.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has arrived in France to train with his Paris Saint-Germain club.
The talented player performed admirably for France at the World Cup, scoring eight goals and defeating Lionel Messi for the FIFA Golden Boot award.

Failure for France to beat Argentina to win their Back to Back trophy was extremely difficult for the French players, but it left Mbappe in more pain than any other player beaten by Albacete in the final.
However, he met with PSG technical team today and is expected to begin training with the French club in the coming days following the World Cup.
