Born on June 25, 1993, in Casablanca, Morocco, Ayoub El Kaabi was to a less privileged family. He dropped out of school and worked as a carpenter apprentice at his neighborhood shop.
His professional football career began in 2016 with Racing, and he then transferred to RS Berkane, where he spent one season.
Kaabi signed with Hebei football club in the Chinese Super League in 2018 before being loaned to Wydad in 2019, who bought him outright in 2020-2021.
Kaabi’s stint at Wydad came to an end after three seasons, collecting 22 goals in 38 games since joining the club in 2019.
