Born on October 26, 2003 in Lagos, Basiil began his stylistic musical journey at a young age, imitating the sounds of Davido, Wizkid, Rema, and Libianca, among others.
He made his professional debut on June 2nd, 2023, with the song “Vibrations” under Bankulli Entertainment, the record label owned by executive music producer Bankulli.
Bankulli signed Basil to his record label after noting his talent and providing the necessary support. Basiil’s breakthrough came only after Bankulli noticed him in Lagos, and by then, he had already been performing to rave acclaim in the neighbourhood where he grew up.
