A purported girlfriend and wife of Benjamin Asare identified as Princess has come under fire from online users after declaring her love for the Black Stars goalkeeper amid his 2026 FIFA World Cup heroics.
The criticisms come when Princess posted an old video of herself and Asare on social media in which the two could seen together while the shot stopper visiting his lover’s grocery store.
Princess captioned the footage with “God come through us,” expressing her unmatched love and support for Benjamin Asare even before he gained popularity.
The clip has sparked numerous reactions, with some followers and supporters of Benjamin Asare stating the young lady is faking to adore their idol.
Others blasted her, claiming that she was nowhere to be found while Asare was trying to make money to survive since she refused to post him during his difficult moments.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Asare’s outstanding performance at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup helped Ghana move on to the round of 32, where they will face Colombia.
He has so far kept two clean sheets and let up one goal during the team’s 1:2 loss to Croatia in the group round.
