She began her career as a junior civil engineer at Dinorwig Power Station in Llanberis, Wales, before moving on to work as a graduate management trainee in Leeds.
She explored her musical side as a background singer for the pop group Dawn Chorus and the Blue Tits in her spare time. She also appeared on other radio shows, including Radio Aire’s Peter Levy show.
