Other clubs, including Sporting Lisbon, Beşiktaş, and Los Angeles, have expressed interest in signing the Portuguese star from the Saudi Arabian club.
Ronaldo has played two seasons at Al Nassr, joining the club in 2023 for a record fee of around €200 million to become the highest-paid athlete in football history.
Despite yet to help the team capture its first trophy after his arrival in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo’s contributions cannot be understated with his outstanding goals and assists produced in the last two years.
Sources claim, the former Manchester United star might consider returning to England with his family to enjoy European football despite having a contract with Al Nassr that expires in June 2026.
However his transfer to Chelsea is doubtful. The deal only accelerated few matches to the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign season.
Others suggest he will return to his homegrown and boyhood club Sporting Lisbon where is was nutured.
If Ronaldo joins Chelsea, it will be his third time playing in the Premier League, having spent the majority of his career with Manchester United.
His long-standing rivalry with Lionel Messi, who currently plays for Inter Miami, will continue if he joins the Los Angeles F.C team in Major League Soccer (MLS).
