Ghanaian comic actor, Dr Likee, also known as Ras Nene, has expressed his desire to work together with Strika, best known for his role in “Beasts of No Nation.”
Dr. Likee believes that everyone deserves a second chance in life, a feeling that fueled by a recent meeting with Strika that caught the attention of many Ghanaians.
Strika, born Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, disappeared from public eye for several years following his appearance in the highly regarded 2015 film.
While fellow cast member Abraham Attah rose to global fame, receiving scholarships to study abroad, Strika’s journey took an unexpected turn, with rumours circulating that he struggled with substance abuse, ruining his career.
This story prompted Dr. Likee and his team, who had faced similar challenges but successfully transitioned from street life to stardom to link up after captured in a photo.
During their meeting up, Dr. Likee made an heartfelt message to support Strika in rebuilding his life post-fame struggles.
Speaking about his own discovery in a video, Strika explains that a woman in ‘Konkoma’ was pivotal in making it possible for him to be included in the “Beasts of No Nation” film.
