Ernest Nuamah Parents: Who Are Ernest Nuamah Parents? – Ernest Appiah Nuamah, is a professional Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a forward for Olympic Lyon in Ligue 1 on loan from RWD Molenbeek.

Who is Ernest Nuamah?

He started playing football at an early age at Right to Dream Academy, where he also went to elementary school (primary four). Ernest Nuamah grew up in a Kumasi, Ghana, suburb.

Despite having poor academic performance during his education, he was able to establish a name for himself due to his unrivalled talent and zeal. However, Nuamah took a significant step by joining FC Nordsjaelland in January 2022.

On April 10, 2022, he made his debut for the team, coming on in the 67th minute and scoring a key 84th-minute goal in a dramatic 2-2 draw against Aarhus GF.

He was appropriately named team MVP, and his exceptional efforts earned him the honour of Young Player of the Month in September 2022.

Ernest Nuamah’s career was defined on March 19, 2023, when he scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 2-1 win over Brøndby. Because of his great performance, he was named Danish Superliga Player of the Year at the end of that season.

Nuamah had a fantastic start to the 2023-24 season, scoring a hat-trick in a convincing 4-1 league win against Viborg on July 24, 2023, during the opening matchday of the new season.

Ernest Nuamah made a surprise move to Belgian team RWD Molenbeek on August 30, 2023, only to be promptly loaned to French club Lyon for the duration of the season.

This complex transfer agreement, involving a €25 million purchase option and optional add-ons for €4.5 million, was made possible by the two teams’ shared ownership, led by John Textor’s Eagle Football Holdings.

This strategic manoeuvre was necessary to negotiate UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations, and it also resulted in Nuamah breaking the record for Nordsjaelland’s highest-grossing sale following his National teammate Kamaldeen Sulemana’s €17 million transfer deal to Southampton in the English Premier League.

The Ghanaian sensation shone on his Ligue 1 debut for Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday, September 3 at the Groupama Stadium. On his debut for the club, the rising sensation was given his first start in a league game against new French superpower Paris Saint-Germain.

Ernest made his debut for Ghana for the first time on June 18, 2023, against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. His second match saw him score

On Thursday, September 7, 2023, he made his second appearance for the team after being called up by head coach Chris Hughton, scoring his second goal late in the game against Central Republic of Africa in the AFCON qualifiers.

He was raised by his parents, Regina Nuamah (mother) and Yaw Nuamah (father). His mother owns a grocery business, whereas his father’s work and personal information are scarce on the internet. However Ernest Nuamah’s mother was a source of encouragement during his early career, even though she opposed to his son playing football due to his poor academic performance and terrible vocabulary.

“I had no idea my Nana Kwame could communicate in English.” It used to bother me because I had no idea. He recently visited me , and some whites came to shop to buy stuffs here. They would have left if he hadn’t been there,” Nuamah’s mother revealed in an interview with King Eben Tv.

She went further and claim, “To be honest, we didn’t want him to play football.” We wanted him to attend school because he was illiterate. There is a woman who is our neighbour; she did not have a television, but we did.”

Ernest Nuamah’s father, on the other hand, shed more light on his son’s football career, claiming that he did not recognise his son’s potential until he made it known that he had not personally watched his son play football during his presence at the stadium watching his son on the pitch. After seeing his son for the first time, Mr Yaw Nuamah stated:

“People used to tell me that my son was a good player, but I hadn’t seen him play as a kid.” So I didn’t know whether he was good or not until I saw him play against Algeria in Kumasi. Even after the game, he told me he didn’t have his best game, and I told him he still played well,” he explained.

Who is Yaw Nuamah?

He is the husband of Regina Nuamah and the father of Ernest Nuamah, a professional footballer. Mr. Yaw Nuamah is a proud Ghanaian native born in Kumasi. His job is unknown as of now.
