A video of the Mbappe giving pep talks to his team mates during recess at the finals of the Qatar 22 world has started making rounds and gaining lots of reaction online.
Football people have drawn strong conclusions that this move by Mbappe motivated, energized his team mates to make a spectacular comeback after recess in their game against current world champions, Argentina.
Argentina took a 2-0 lead in the first half, with Lionel Messi scoring from the penalty spot and Di Maria adding another spectacular goal.
France did not give up in the second half, but instead lifted their spirits, allowing Mbappe to level the scores at 2-2, thereby pushing the game into extra time. After scoring one apiece in the extra time, Argentina went further to beat France 4-2 during the penalty shootout.
Many sports enthusiasts, pundits,fans coaches and footballers have attributed the strong showing of the French national in the second half to Mbappe’s video making massive rounds online.
The 25-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward lifted his teammates’ spirits by telling them that despite being down by two goals, they could come back and win the game because the World Cup is only held every four years.
