An old tweet has surfaced online showing how former Black Stars player Mubarak Wakaso predicted Christian Atsu’s death after the player was confirmed dead.

On Saturday, February 18, 2023, Atsu was confirmed dead by his agent after being discovered under the rubble of the Turkey earthquake.

His club, Hatayspor, issued an official statement regarding the arrangements for transporting Atsu’s body to his native country, Ghana.

However, a post shared by Wakaso on his official Facebook page on January 1, 2023, shows how the K.A.S Eupen star predicted his close friend’s death.

Wakaso shared a photo of Christian Atsu on medication, sitting on the ground, beaming with joy, and with white cream that appeared to be soap applied all over his body.

Many people, including the late Atsu, perceived it as sarcasm and one of their funniest moments after it was shared on the microblogging platform.

The post reads: “New year ghost Christian Atsu”, prompting the Hatayspor player to respond with “M.M. Junior Waka.”you have to try this Turkish Bath ooo E sweet die”.
