Barcelona star, Robert Lewandowski has said that he hopes to play alongside Lionel Messi before retiring from football.
Lewandowski in an interview discussion on Mundo Deportivo said that, he would love to play with Lionel Messi before hanging up his boots.
The former Bayern Munich forward recently won 2022 Golden Foot Award in Monaco after Poland was eliminated from the World Cup in the group stage of the competition.
The 34-year-old Polish striker became emotional after scoring his first World Cup goal, tying him with Pele on 77 goals in his Poland jersey.
However, Lewandowski expressing his desire to wear the same jersey as Leo Messi in the same team, stated that the Argentine talisman is the best player in every position.
According to him, even though Messi is not scoring as many goals as he used to, but he is still a typical playmaker who loves to assist his teammates in most matches.

When asked who will take home the Balon d’Or, Lewandowski said: “Of course. The World Cup decides the winner and Leo Messi is now the favourite.
“Messi has now achieved everything in football, he is the best in the world. I can only imagine what winning the World Cup means to him and Argentina.
“Everyone saw his performance in the tournament, it’s very difficult to play against him, he’s the champion.” – Robert concluded
