American rapper OG Maco is dead and currently not alive. The rapper passed away on Thursday December 26, 2024 few weeks after his tragic accident.
On Thursday morning, December 11, 2024, OG Maco was rushed to the hospital for surgery after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head during his attempted suicide.
The reason Marco shot himself is unknown, however according to police sources, they responded to a 911 call from Maco’s neighbour, who claims to have heard a gunshot at the rapper’s home.
The Atlanta-born who was best known for his 2014 viral smash “U Guessed It” was found unresponsive and was rush to a local hospital for a quick surgery.
Report also claimed that, the firearm was retrieved when the police arrived at the horrific scene.
Maco’s manager Poppa Percccc speaking to TMZ Hip Hop confirmed that, his long time friend’s health is in a critical condition and needs urgent prayers from his friends, fans, supporters and associates.
OG Maco, whose real name is Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr, was 32 years old, born on April 23, 1992 in College Park, Georgia, USA.
OG Maco during his life time faced in multiple incidents, the first of which happened in 2016 when he was involved in a car accident that caused his right eye to become deformed, forcing him to wear an eye patch.
In 2019, the rapper was diagnosed with skin-eating disease after receiving inappropriate treatment for a rash.
He revealed his condition to followers during a Live session on Instagram. Maco is primarily recognised for his rapping talents.
He made his debut in the industry in mid-2010. In 2014, he released two extended plays (EPs), Public Speaking and Live Life.
He went to work couple of artistes until dropping his first solo album ‘The God of Rage’ in 2021 “ under Desperado Record Label.
However, Medical practitioners at Los Angeles on Thursday December 26, pronounced OG Maco dead as it being confirmed by his family in a statement.
His demise has brought sorrow in the American entertainment industry with many people including fans and colleague rappers offering their RIP message on n social media.
