The news came when photos of the 24-year-old winger purportedly departing Real Madrid for Barcelona emerged, with the player wearing a jersey indicating that he had agreed to join the club.
Rodrygo’s career is in doubt for the 2025/26 season after being left out of the Real Madrid side that faced Barcelona in the last El Classico.
The Brazilian is reportedly sick and is now undergoing treatment, which explains he is not leaving Real Madrid despite not featuring in the (4-3) El Classico match.
There is no credible source or official report, claiming Rodrygo is joining Barcelona, as the Spanish club has not shown interest in signing the winger from Madrid.
