Rapper Medikal has explained why he performed with his ex-girlfriend Sister Derby at his historic concert at the O2.
According to Medikal, he shared the stage with Sister Derby because he wanted his well-known songs to be heard all over the world.
Medikal on a phone conversation with UTV host MzGee on United Showbiz program stated that he merely wanted to delight his fans all over the world, not disrespect or spite Fella Makafui, as many people believe because of their divorce rumour.
He emphasised that his performance with Derby aimed to make his fans feel the live performance of their song Too Risky, compared to the recorded version.
“Sister Derby is someone I have a song with. Many people have watched our music video but not our live performance, so it was nice for her to join me on stage to perform the song together so that it will be memorable thing to the fans after the show.
“Is not anything new and I’m not trying to prove a point. But I was trying to have fun and let my fans have an experience of a great event”- he said
When questioned if he organised a flight for Sister Derby Medikal, he said no, and that he had no involvement in scheduling flights for the artists who performed at his show.
“All of the artists who came to support me during the performance booked their own flights. Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and others just come to London to support me” – he concluded.

Medikal’s explanation comes after his most talked-about performance at Inidgo O2 with his former love Sister Derby.
The duo actually ignited the audience with their popular song ‘Too Risky,’ as many believed the two had rekindled their relationship following the rapper’s divorce from wife Fella Makafui.
