A video has surfaced online showing Nigerian Afrobeats artist Rema kicking a fan during a performance in Benin.
In the footage, Rema can be seen using his right leg to brutally kick a fan in the abdomen who had eagerly stepped onto the stage while the musician was performing at his homecoming event.
After the incident, the fan was seen pleading with the “Calm Down” hitmaker before security guards intervened and removed him from the stage.
Although the fan did not appear to pose a threat to Rema, the video has sparked controversy among fans, with many expressing their displeasure with the musician’s actions.
Some have accused Rema of having temper issues, which they believe led to the incident.
