The arrest was prompted by an invitation from the Head of the National Enforcement Section at the Immigration Headquarters, addressing concerns about her immigration status, according to <span class="s3">Ghanaweb.</span>
Investigations revealed that Abbiusi arrived in Ghana on September 4, 2017, through the Kotoka International Airport and claimed residency as a student at the Ghana Christian University College in 2018.
However, subsequent investigation revealed that she had never attended the college and that the documents supporting her residence permit application were forged.
Abbiusi is currently facing immigration-related accusations and has been arraigned in court for remand into Immigration custody.
